Free stamps will again be made available for youth during the May 2026 ORAPEX event, Canada’s largest stamp show held at the Nepean Sportsplex in Ottawa. Operated by volunteers from the Ottawa Philatelic Society, the Youth Booth program introduces and encourages youth to start stamp collecting. Enthusiastic kids dig into bins for specific kinds of stamps or grab piles. Millions of donated stamps are available. Youth also receive gift bags including a stock book, a small magnifier, tongs, some souvenir sheets, First Day Covers and a beginners booklet. A fun time is had by the kids, parents and volunteers at the booth. During the 2025 ORAPEX some 42 new young collectors came to the Youth Booth.
